Our Topographic Layered Wooden Maps are intricately laser cut from baltic birch or maple plywood & then arranged & assembled to depict the depths of the Lake Travis in Texas. We design these to be reminiscent of vintage tourist maps, creating a pictorial illustration of favorite places, roads & iconic landmarks. Since Our Products are made to order, customization is not only welcome, but encouraged. The maps are hand stained with a special powder pigment, the wood is then sealed & framed into a Shadow Box that is 2 inches thick with an acrylic overlay. The map Is 11 in x 17 in., including the frame. Each piece of wood is unique so colors (including the blue pigment), grain & texture will vary from sheet to sheet. The Map is secured into the frame with Glazier Points. If you would like to clean the frame simply lay the map face down on a clean & dry towel. Remove the Glazier points with a flat head screw driver & Clean the acrylic with ammonia free glass cleaner. the Glazier points can be re applied with the Flat head screw driver.
