Beautiful & dainty mid century Japan ornament. This young lady is precious & she came from my mother in law's estate, the note said she was from the 1940's. Such crafty adorable ornament or figurine. She has a red velour hooded dress with gold ribbon trim. Her face is paper mache & has cardboard on base. She is holding a plastic red & white candy cane in one hand & a wrapped present in other. She is in good vintage condition, based on her age, yet I think she can be repaired to have her stand taller, & not tilt to the side. Her candy cane is missing some of the red swirl coloring, & the poof on the top of her hood seems soiled slightly. Still precious & collectible. She reminds me of Mrs. Claus. The Japan Red Hooded Paper mache face doll ornament measures approximately 4" in height, 2 1/2" in width & 2 1/4".
