Scott # 1531 Issued: 1974 These unused vintage stamps featuring an image from "Five Feminine Virtues" by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai will look lovely on your postcards or letters. You can also use these in jewelry making, scrap booking, junk journals, or other craft projects. The post office issued these beautiful stamps in 1974 to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Universal Postal Union. There were 8 designs, each showcasing a different work of art by various famous artists from around the world, all with a letter writing theme. All stamps are unused with their original gum intact & come in a protective glassine envelope. Reminder: the rates as of January 21st 2024 are 68 cents for letters, 53 cents for postcards.
