SOUTHERN PACIFIC Railroad Dedication brochure of the Palmdale-Colton Cutoff Line opened up for traffic on July 11, 1967. Nice six page brochure with six photos & a map of the new line. Once the golden spike was driven the first freight train broke through a large banner at Palmdale & headed for Colton. We were there & documented the first freight train running through Cajon Pass.
