Description

Treme - One of the oldest New Orleans neighborhoods. Faubourg Treme (Faubourg meaning "neighborhood" in French) is located between North Rampart & North Broad & from Canal Street to St. Bernard Avenue. The area received its namesake from one Claude Treme, a model hat maker & real estate developer who migrated from Saugivny in Burgundy, France, & settled in New Orleans in 1783. You may have watched the HBO Series bearing the same name which is about to begin its third season. Signs are made from salvage wood & photographic images designed after the old street corner tiles of New Orleans. Images from original street name tiles are used to create other favorite New Orleans words, neighborhoods & sayings; like "Making Groceries, Yea U Rite" & many more . The signs measure from 6 - 8 inches wide & 1 - 4 inches tall depending on found wood availability. Finished with several coats of acrylic, & old salvage chain or wire for hanging. Suitable for outdoor decks, porches & doors. Please specify whether you prefer chain or wire for hanging. Contact shop owner for personalized signs made to order.
