Handmade art pendant necklace featuring Florence Nightingale. Florence Nightingale, (12 May 1820 - 13 August 1910) was an English social reformer, statistician & the founder of modern nursing. Nightingale came to prominence while serving as a manager & trainer of nurses during the Crimean War, in which she organized care for wounded soldiers at Constantinople. She gave nursing a favorable reputation & became an icon of Victorian culture, especially in the persona of "The Lady with the Lamp" making rounds of wounded soldiers at night. This art glass pendant has been carefully handcrafted by us in our home studios in Sweden. The art print is covered with a clear glass domed cabochon which enhances the image, then set in a high quality metal setting. The pendant measures 36x28mm including bail. Each necklace comes with a matching 60 cm chain with a lobster clasp. Please feel free to contact us if you would like the chain cut shorter/longer. All our art pendant necklaces are composed of lead- & nickel free metal & available in either silver or bronze finish. Please note that these pendants are not waterproof, so remove them before you go swimming or dancing in the rain ;-) Your necklace will arrive in a lovely organza bag ready for gift giving.
