Originally a Coast Guard Station, this is site where Coast Guard crews rescued survivors of two American ships that were torpedoed by a German U-boat just 13 miles off the coast. Liberty Ships, that defended the United States during WWII, were built in nearby Brunswick, GA . Many women, along with men not eligible to fight, worked long, dedicated hours to meet the Navy's need for the ships. - Size: 8" x 10"" | Fits in a standard 8" x 10" mat & 11" x 14" frame.
