Description

I used these for comparison work - before I made all of the Arkansas Stone videos I tested a literal ton of stones; these were the reference samples I used to gauge/compare/evaluate everything that came into the shop. I have been done with that project for quite some time & these have been occupying valuable shelf space for the duration. Time to move them out for the sake of organization. No one 'needs' this - not unless they are committed to evaluating & comparing a LOT of Arkansas stones. They're nice, cool as heck. Each one was sealed in Cashew Lacquer & labeled by me. The rectangular ones are approximately 2 x 1 x 1" & the Trans piece is just shy of 2 x 2 x 0.5". Obviously, this is an extremely odd, unique & different kind of thing; you probably won't ever see another set like this. Translucent - large square, cut from vintage 'butterscotch' slab. Black Translucent - cut from damaged Pike hone, circa 1920s. Soft Ark - cut from chipped up Norton/Pike stone, prob 1950s. Washita #1 - cut from small Pike stone, probably late 1920s Lily White - cut from mid-size Pike stone, probably early 1900s. This stone set ships free via USPS priority, fully insured.
