Continuing with our Adventure Hook Documents, we offer an invitation from the Society of Stalwart Adventurers in Cormyr to sponsor a chosen group of adventurers on a mission for the Society. The invitation is printed in formal style as would be expected of this esteemed adventuring society. It is approx. 8-3/8" wide & approx. 23" long & bears the symbol of the Society as we have created it along with the official gold wax seal at the bottom, supported by two purple dragons couched, giving honor to the place where the Society was founded, a little over 1000 years ago. The document will be rolled & secured with leather thong. This document will go hand-in-hand with one of our Cormyr Adventuring Company Commissions which can be purchased separately. The document mentions that the Society chooses an adventuring company from among those licensed in Cormyr to go on a mission for the Society. The choosing is done every four years at Shieldmeet & is quite the honor - for it recognizes one Adventuring Company from perhaps the hundreds licensed to practice their trade in the Forest Kingdom. The Society asks the would-be adventurers to meet them at the Society the following evening at sunset & more details will be given after dinner. The PC's are told to dress either formally in court attire or in suitably clean & polished armor. The Society agrees to equip them with necessary equipment, provide funds for arriving at the location & back & requires half of the monetary gains from the mission. You may elect to give more details in verbal form in the game should you have something else the PC's are to acquire. Upon successful completion, the Society agrees to consider the PC's Adventuring Company for admission to membership of the Society. Place this in the hands of your PC's & all you have to do is come up with the mission that the PC's will venture on for the Society. Perhaps it is to recover an artifact valued by the Society or simply to explore some ruins & map them for the Society's Cartography Library? Either way, this document starts you off on a most memorable adventure. Designed to provide a beginning adventure hook, it's up to you to flesh out this adventure yourself & is only subject to the limits of your imagination!
