Description
This is a Fenton Tiara line no. 711 basket in Blue Overlay with a nicked (bamboo) handle of blue transparent. The Tiara line was short-lived & soon became known as Beaded Melon. This basket was produced for just a short time in 1949-50. The item stands 7" (17.8 cm) tall & also measures 7" long. It is 5" (12.7 cm) across the handle. We believe that the handle was applied by Peter K. Raymond who worked for the company form 1907-13 & then again from 1921-64. Fenton Glass was founded in 1907. The piece is in excellent condition without chips, flea bites, scratches, or staining.
