This gorgeous incense burner was made in the mid 1800's as a homage to the original Piranesi. Exquisitely detailed Antique Neoclassical Incense Burner, Urn, Censer, in solid bronze on marble. Rare & unique piece, you are unlikely to see it again. All is original, even right down to the screws holding it together. Not welded, but cast solidly. A rare work of art. Three Beast / Bat / Demon / Gargoyle heads with pawed feet. This looks amazing on an altar & can be used with incense cones or loose incense. If you use it for burning, I would suggest using sand or steel wool to protect the brass lining. Stunning piece of exceptional quality. Excellent antique condition considering its age. One screw is missing. Lid is in great condition too, & the lining bowl is clean. It's all here, lid, inner liner & intact bottom. Most of these rare pieces are missing more than a single screw.
