Beautiful ABP brilliant cut glass footed ferner by J Hoare Co. This three legged ferner featured three large hobstars cut around the sides & three large flat stars cut above each leg. There are also three large pentagonal fields with in a cane pattern that alternate with the hobstars & flat stars. The bottom is cut with split fields of silver diamonds & fans around the edge & a large 24 point rayed star in the center. The ferner measures nearly 4 1/2" high, 8" in diameter & weighs in at just over 4 pounds. It is acid signed in the bottom center with the J Hoare 1853 circle mark. The ferner is in excellent condition with only some roughness in the inside rim from very tiny flea bites.
