Description
The Westport Mfg Co Massachusetts was a maker of carpet backing, twine & rag/yarn mops using leftovers from the textile mills of Fall River up until at least 1918. This is probably a tool tag used when a tool was checked out of the crib (tools that belonged to the company) & is of the style that was guaranteed parcel post returned to the name on the front. The tag was made by the John Robbins Mfg. Co when they were located in Boston which was until 1920.
