If you'd prefer vertical, please send me a message! ▲ ABOUT THIS PRINT Santa Barbara: a slice of paradise between the dramatic Santa Ynez Mountains & the Pacific Ocean. The 1:24,000-scale USGS topographic maps (also known as 7.5-minute quadrangles) have been the gold standard for map users & lovers since 1947. This map series covers the entire contiguous 48 United States & contains a wealth of information about the land, displayed in timeless cartographic style. To create this map art, we merged multiple historic USGS topographic maps to achieve seamless coverage centered on this striking landscape. We then added a detailed hillshade layer to give the print an extra visual kick. This highlights the more dramatic characteristics of the landforms, conveying realistic textures of things like rugged ridges & crevassed glaciers. This helps create an impression of 3-dimensionality on a flat sheet of paper. We print every piece on professional quality matte heavyweight paper, which is acid-free & will not yellow or fade over time. We then hand-cut each piece precisely to its final size. ▲ FRAMED & CANVAS PRINTS ARE NOW AVAILABLE! We now offer upgraded options to add a polished look, value, & convenience to your order! Our frames for paper prints are 1.25" wide & available in black, white, & wood. All sizes 24" x 36" & smaller can be framed. Our canvas is a wrapped canvas that is 3/4" deep. Our framed canvas consists of a wrapped canvas mounted within a floating frame which measures 1" wide (the facing edge of the frame is 3/8"), & it is available in black & natural wood. All sizes except 5" x 7" & 13" x 19" are available as canvas or framed canvas, except 27" x 40", which is not available framed. All of our frames are made in-house by our printing partner. They are solid wood, & the black & white frames have a matte finish. ▲ PROCESSING TIMES Processing time refers to how long we need to create your item between when we receive your order until when it is shipped out.
