Beautiful large 2" 5 cm vintage wooden printers alphabet letter blocks, pre-used with lots of character. They were most likely to have been used for printing posters & to date from between 1860 & 1970, they are likely to date from the earlier part of this possible range & to have been in use for many years. The pricing is for one letter, please see options above. They are all in an equal good but used condition, the only one that may be flawed for printing would be the W, with a small chip to the bottom left of the letter. Size & condition: The letters all measure approximately 50 mm, 2" tall & have the standard 22 mm, 7/8" depth. The letter F, as a fairly average example, has a width of approximately 22 mm, 7/8". The letters are in good to very good vintage condition, with no significant damage but as used items there is a little staining from ink & a few minor knocks & bumps. The letters for sale are the ones in the pictures. These are beautiful & genuine old letterpress letters, ideal to use, to display individually or as words, to collect, use in photography etc. The letters are of course mirror images of the letters they represent, having been originally made for printing. The final photo includes some other 2", 5 cm wooden letters, available separately, in a similar style & age but narrower in shape - in the photo one of the P's & the Y are the thinner ones so that it can be seen how they would look mixed together.
