Saint Emmelia of Caesarea icon reproduction on a wooden plaque. Available in: Medium size - 10cm x 13.5cm / 3.93inches x 5.31inches All icons are made of MDF wood (solid pressed wood). Once the base is cut to size, it undergoes a preparation by hand so the surface of the wood is well-prepared to hold the mounted print. Our theme prints are high quality replicas of an original hierography. Finally, finishing touches are applied with a dark brown color around the icon borders & backside. Each icon is inspected for quality assurance. The holy & righteous Emilia (also Emily or Emmelia), is the mother of Saint Basil the Great & several other children who are saints of the Church. Churches of the Russian tradition keep her feast on January 3, along with her son Basil. Greek churches keep her feast on May 30, along with her husband Saint Basil the Elder & her mother-in-law, Saint Macrina the Elder. Please note there is no hook at the backside.
