Description
This lovely & graceful horn carving appears to be a squid with a lily pad leaf & a tiny bird on a reed. There is an original paper "Made in the Peoples Republic of China" label on the underside. From 1949 until the 1970s, Trade between China & the US was nearly nil. Only a limited number of items are found with a label like this. Usually, during that period of time, if it said "Made in China", it was made in Taiwan. Size: 5.75" long x 2.5" wide x 4.75" tall Vintage items naturally have some play or use wear, production imperfections, & traces of age & time.
