Made to the exact 1926 federal standard, as used between then & approximately 1949 along this famous road. Route 41 is the longest north-south US highway, coming in at just over 2000 miles between Copper Harbor, Michigan, & Miami, Florida. the Florida segment enters the state just north of the town of Jennings & proceeds to Tampa, Naples, & Miami. the east-west segment across the peninsula was originally numbered US highway 94 before being renumbered in 1949. An original of these would cost many hundreds of dollars if it ever came to the market. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, for just a fraction of the price. The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout & fonts. It weighs about 4 pounds, 6 ounces, & is the correct size: 16 1/2 by 16 inches. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign.
