The Ontario Plate, Engraved by Harold Reginald Ward, is part of the Canadian Historical Plate Series. The magnificent collectible plate was Made in England. The collectible plate features historical people such as Governor Simcoe & Sir Isaac Brock, & historical places such as Fort Henry Kingston, Niagara, Toronto, etc. The back of the plate records several important dates in Canadian history starting in 1759, the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, & ending in 1867 when the Dominion of Canada was formed. The ceramic plate has a wooden frame for protection. The inside rim of the frame, closest to the plate, is gold. The framed plate is 13.25" in diameter. Fort Henry National Historic Site is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada on Point Henry, a strategic, elevated point near the mouth of the Cataraqui River where it flows into the St. Lawrence River at the east end of Lake Ontario. Niagara is made up of three separate waterfalls: The American Falls & the Bridal Veil Falls in the USA & the Canadian "Horseshoe" Falls in Canada.
