Helen Naha (1922-1993) Feather Woman Hopi Pueblo Spider clan Ladle. 6.5" long x4 1/16" wide with no damage or detectable wear. There are some numbers engravedon the base & I'm not sure of their significance. They look like museumcollection inventory numbers but could be polished out if for some reason becamea distraction.Helen Naha (1922-1993) Feather Woman was a member of the Spider Clan at HopiPueblo Arizona. She was the daughter-in-law of Paqua Naha (the first FrogWoman). She was married to Paqua's son, Archie. At first, she followed the styleof her mother-in-law & her sister-in-law, Joy Navasie. She eventuallydeveloped her own distinctive style, using black & red paint on a white slipto create bold designs. Often, she would take the effort & time to polish theinside of a bowl as well as the outside. Both of her daughters, Sylvia andRainy, as well as her granddaughter, Tyra Naha, have followed in her footsteps.tw250 Helen Naha | 1922-1993 Feather Woman Hopi Pueblo Spider Clan Ladle
