You may plant your bare root plants directly in the garden, but be sure to protect them from intense sun, heat & dryness. You can shade your small plants for a few days with a piece of cardboard, umbrella, plastic, pot or tray to keep direct heavy sun from burning them. This will allow them to acclimate in more ideal conditions. You may also plant them in small pots to transfer later from shade to sun later. You may plant them in large pots for the summer for a nice deck or porch plant. They will be smaller in a pot, but will still bloom nicely.
