This nautical chart of Lake Tahoe, published by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey, is one of a several charts made in the period 1951-2004. Nautical charts are most valuable to mariners for the water depths (soundings) & for the accurate depiction of shoreline features. Note that in 1971 the village at the south end of the lake is called South Lake Tahoe. It used to be "Bijou" Scale: 1:40,000 Reprints offered in different sizes. Original map size 27" x 41".
