This listing is for the gold plated Bronze Ancient Roman Empire Style Art Deco Velvet Lined Casket Box. This box was produced sometime in the 1920s. It's extremely heavy duty of a table top box of its size, it weighs 2 lb. 10.3 oz. the outside of the box is a bronze repousse of Roman scholars & warrior chariot. The interior is lined with dark blue velvet. The key is no longer with the box so it isn't included but the box is open. There are no markings to indicate who made this box. The gold plate has been wearing away over the years revealing the deeper bronze tones & greenish copper oxidation. It's a beautiful piece that will look striking in any setting.
