With our highest compliments & utmost honors Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional 19th century antique Ohio River Valley Tiger Maple dresser / chest of drawers. Our family is originally from Boston & we're now located in Western MA. We absolutely love being in New England, it was such a prolific area & was home to some of America's most important cabinet makers but we seldom come across southern furniture & western furniture in the homes out here. We purchased this in Ohio on our way back from a west coast delivery run. The chest is crafted from bold grain Tiger Maple & has a total of 5 drawers. The chest has wonderful hand chamfered side panels that appear to be poplar & a paneled back that you'd never find on a Boston piece but was common practice in Ohio & some Western New York cabinet shops. The chest is in fantastic condition with our only notes being minimal surface wear. The chest measures 40 1/2" wide x 21" deep x 46 1/2" tall.
