Fully customized & highly detailed FISHING focused river map, tailored to YOUR CHOICE OF RIVER or stream. About the sizing: Prices are by width for smaller sizes. Short side dimension will be determined by the river & design. Limit of 3/4ths of the long dimension (w/o addtl costs). For example, for 24" long side the max short size included in the std pricing is 18". HOW TO ORDER: 1. Choose frame size (side of longest dimension). - the frame short side dimension will depends on your river's shape & length shown. I design to fit. 2. Decide on painted water layer OR resin filled water later. For 90%+ of all trout fishable rivers I would recommend PAINTED water layer. The pearlescent blue resin adds several steps of labor, curing time, sanding, etc without really adding much at all to the a trout fishing map which are largely thin rivers. PAINTED WATER LAYER: -The lower level board is painted a blue, satin finish. The map layer is then glued over this. RESIN FILLED WATER LAYER: -The two layers are glued together, & then the lower level (the water) has blue resin poured into the water area. This cures & the mica powdered pigment leaves blue swirled effects that mimic flowing streams. AFTER YOU ORDER: 1. We do extensive research on all available information, & evaluate geographic information system (GIS) files for the area to determine how to best display the features unique to the river.. Thomas spends a good bit of time to determine how we can best artistically create a unique & attractive display to be proud of! 2. We revise the design concept, & then create a detailed design for your review & comment. - Only after you like what you see, & the design is approved, do we move forward with making the artwork. - We physically make nothing until you say go. Thomas grew up on the big TN river lakes & in 2020 started making maps & 3D models for friends & family. Without access to cold water fisheries, he readily admits the vast majority of his trout fishing has been at trout farms; a fond memory being his first trip to one, where the total catch was limited only to how many grasshoppers a 5 year old boy could capture & hook.
