Here is a beautiful vintage Impressionist blue river landscape oil painting. The artist depicts Iris flowers on the riverbank & in the distance are some soft hills & blue skies with clouds. The painting is framed in an older antique wood frame that has wear/spotting & old dark gold paint. The painting itself is in good/very good condition with only a few minor chips to the finish. The artist used a heavier impasto application of paint in a few areas to add definition to the art. The art is signed Fern Knapps 82. the item measures 13 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. This is really one of the prettiest folk art style landscapes I have seen. I love the different shades of blues & greens that create such a rich bounty for us visually.
