Vintage 1980s Oscar de la Renta deep purple silk brocade evening gown with metallic gold floral trim. Very dark brown velvet bodice that appears almost black with zip cuff sleeves, scoop neck & fitted waist. A dramatic row of metallic gold roses around the waist with a voluminous skirt & scalloped gold trim around the hem. Bodice is lined in silk & skirt has a second, full under skirt of slightly darker purple silk taffeta. The hem of the second skirt has nylon horsehair at the hem & a second layer of metallic trim, creating a nice fullness & structure to the skirt. Skirt has two hip pockets & dress zips up the back with interior shoulder pads.
