'Cedras Lebani' or 'Cedars of Lebanon' is a species of tree that grows primarily in the mountainous ranges of the middle east that has great religious & historical significance, & is referenced many times in the bible & other religious texts. It is also the national emblem of Lebanon. Nearly wiped out 1700 years ago from high demand among the ancient rulers of Egypt, Mesopotamia & Ancient Israel for royal building projects, there are less than 20 Cedar forests left in Lebanon. I was fortunate enough to be gifted a large from a Lebanese family member who brought this family heirloom over when he came to the states in the 70's. I saved the carving & am using the rest to make a limited number of beautiful Lebanese Cedar rings. It is very hard to come by (as in soon there will be none available at any price), & mounted on your choice of Stainless Steel, Titanium, or Tungsten 'comfort fit' core. Each is unique & made from actual wood, so may vary slightly from the listing photo. Note that this is a 'comfort fit' core (that is beveled on the inside), & fits a little different than a traditional flat ring. As these can't be resized, please make sure you are fitted for the correct size (A local jeweler will normally do this for no charge) I normally make these rings in an 'overlay' style (all wood showing). If you would like your ring in an 'Inlay' style (a strip of wood surrounded by the metal of the band), I can do that, no extra charge. Just let me know. Also, I can inlay the wood into a Stainless Steel Cross pendant if you would rather have that than a ring. Note: If you would like the ring personalized/engraved for an extra $25, please select one of the 'Engraved' options when selecting the material (Stainless Steel, Titanium, Tungsten), & enter the details on what text you would like on the inside of the ring. We can work together on the details if needed. This will take about an extra week to finish the ring..
