The clock is made of a 1 1/2" thick piece of red oak with a shaped ogee edge molding to give it some character. The mechanism is a very simple quartz clock that is powered by a single AA battery. This could comfortably fit just about anywhere where you need to know the time. The piece of wood & the beauty of Mother Nature's creation are definitely a conversation piece.
