I have been wanting to create an artwork of Buffalo Trace Distillery since we toured the facility in 2019. It is one of the most beautiful Kentucky Distilleries & I had a hard time choosing a viewpoint. Finally, almost two years later, I settled on this one & am so pleased with the result. The original art that was used to create these prints was done using chalk pastels (think fancy, more vibrant sidewalk chalk). I am meticulous about detail & color, which can be tricky when you are working with color made into small, rectangular sticks. When I needed a fine point to create details, I broke my Chalk & used the sharp edge. Therefore, by the time I finished, most of the chalk I was using was the size of my pinky nail (and I have skinny fingers!). I worked on the art used for these prints on & off for about three weeks, putting in between 20-30 hours from start to finish. Check out the detail photos in the listing to see all the vibrant colors! Prints purchased from my shop are created on heavy-weight, archival paper using high quality inks. All prints are giclee prints, which are the created using a large, laser printer that uses a minimum of 12 colors. This creates more vibrant prints that will resist fading for up to 200 years when displayed away from direct sunlight. You may choose from prints with or without matting. All prints have a 1/4", white border around the outside edge to allow for framing without cropping out any of the art. All prints available are standard sizes & will fit pre-made frames, so no custom framing is required. MATTED PRINTS: Each matted print will be carefully attached on two sides to a WHITE matboard with removable tape. That way, if you decide not to use the matboard or want to change it later, you can do so without damaging the art. Prints will also have a foam board backing that is unattached to add support during shipping. Prints will be sealed in a crystal clear envelope & will be shipped in a rigid mailer. This is a GREAT option if you are purchasing a gift, as the print will arrive matted & carefully sealed, so you can gift it "as is." All other prints will ship rolled up & protected with bubble wrap in a white shipping tube.
