Made to the exact standards as used around 1922-35 by the Auto Club of Southern California in Baja California & elsewhere in Mexico. the diamond signs were posted all the way down to Cabo San Lucas along what are now Mexican federal highways 1, 5, 19 & others. this one would be found on highway 5 approximately where highway 3 - the road from Ensenada - meets it. The original of these, complete with the logo of the Automobile Club of Southern California, would cost many thousands of dollars if it even survives at all. This sign is a faithful remake to the correct size (18 inches on a side, or about 25 1/2 inches up & down between the points), & weighs about 8 pounds, 4 ounces. please note that I can make a diamond sign for any set of destinations. inquire about custom orders! This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
