This is a one-of-a-kind, vintage (age unknown) pair of mini, Mexico, souvenir, "Salazar Yepez", sombreros which have been turned into Christmas-tree ornaments by "K" Designs. These fancy, vibrant, mini, Sombrero hats are exact replicas of real, adult hats & measure approximately 5 inches in diameter. When I saw them, I immediately thought what a wonderful, Christmas ornament they would make. The first Mexican sombrero features a traditional, red, green & white design on a hot-pink, thick, velvet hat. The second hat features the same traditional design but on a bright, aqua/blue, velvet hat. Both of these ornate hats are extremely-well made with a rolled rim & molded head-piece. They even have a chin strap. They are accented with brilliant, metallic-gold trim & large, metallic sequins. The inside of the cap is lined & has a faux-leather headband which is stamped "Hecho En Mexico Sombreros Salazar". To these beauties, which didn't need much, I have added red, green & gold-plated beads on a metallic-gold cording for hanging. They are in mint condition. My daughter has a universal, Christmas tree decorated with ornaments representing countries from all over the world. Why not start one of your own? These are being sold as a set only.
