Made to the exact 1926 federal standard, as used between then & the 1940s along this famous road. all eight states are represented: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California. each is made to the unique style of the individual state that issued it, complete with the small differences among the manufacturers. Route 66 needs no introduction - it's been the historic Mother Road, from John Steinbeck to Bobby Troup, & has arguably become even more famous since its formal decommissioning between 1964 & 1985. 66 has become the ultimate lost highway, the road trip that everyone takes... Each sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout & fonts. They vary a tiny bit by size because each state did things a bit differently - they are approximately 16 1/2 by 16 inches, & weigh about 5 pounds 4 ounces each. I've just run off a good quantity of these, which is why I can offer these at such a world-beating low price. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
