Here is the great Royal Doulton figure, THE JESTER. The company's original director, Charles J. Noke, patterned THE JESTER after Jack Point, the jester in Gilbert & Sullivan's opera, "THE YEOMAN OF THE GUARD", first performed in 1888. It is a Collectors Club piece. Great artistry & quality is attendant in this figure. It is both colorful, sad & impressive at the same time. Each JESTER figure is made with variant colors. I have several, & they are all different colors. THE JESTER measures 3.75" tall, is in excellent condition, & is the best of the best from Royal Doulton. Issued in 1990 .
