It is food-safe, washable & durable stencil making material. Not adhesive backed. The sizes listed for purchase refer to the size of the actual design. The stencils are very easy to use - we are sure you'll love working with them. Simply tape it to the surface using yellow painter's tape. Then load your foam roller with the paint (water-based acrylic paint is preferable) & roll it over the stencil, applying medium pressure. Don't press on the roller too hard to eliminate paint seepage under the stencil. Wash it with soap & warm water after use. All laser cut stencils have bridges that hold centers of letters & images in place.
