Made to the exact state standard used from 1947 to 1957. as can be guessed from the name, the place is an old mining town in Nevada County, California, dating back to the Gold Rush era. it was formed in 1849 & named after president Zachary Taylor's nickname. at one point, the town had even seceded from California Territory to avoid paying taxes! if you are looking for a different specific historic destination, please inquire! An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; many still enjoy their active service on the highways. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble. The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout & fonts.
