Vintage late 1940's to 1950's glazed pottery Sailor bank, The Seamen's Bank for Savings ( copyright ) designed by Frank Goss & fired by McCoy. He was originally called The Jolly Sailor & was a promotional item given out when you opened & account. He has his sea bag over his shoulder presumably full of his money! He has 2 red stripes on his left sleeve which would make him an Apprentice Fireman. Great little item, I've got one myself.
