Description
This is a single gang switch cover plate with an opening for one standard switch. My hammer textured switchplates are made from 1/8" steel, & hot forged with a round faced hammer for a beautiful, deep texture. This hot forging & anvil work results in the formation of high temperature oxidation (or "scale") & light pitting on the piece. Wire brushing then removes the loose scale & reveals the unique organic texture below. The switch plate is then painted with clear enamel for long life & durability (I also offer low & no v.o.c. finishes which require a bit more maintenance upon request). in order to show off the forged edge of these switch plates & to insure a snug fit, they are set off from the wall by a recessed spacer making them appear to float on you wall. My single gang cover plates measure 3" wide x 4 7/8" tall, & are recessed 3/16" to fit flush against your wall. All switchplates come with the appropriate number of matching finish screws.
