HE SQUID 1810 - 1829 This extraordinary striking & very rare original copperplate of a squid was engraved by Chapman for"Encyclopaedia Londinensis/Universal Dictionary of the arts, science & literature" Written, compiled, & published by John Wilks in London between 1796 -1828, the 24-volume encyclopaedia aimed to form a comprehensive view of the rise, progress, & present state of human learning in every part off the world, embellished by a most magnificent set of copper-plate engravings ... Note : Verso is blank Condition : in a wonderful condition but please do examine the print, as it's been said that beauty is an eye of beholder.
