Made to the exact standards as used between 1934 & 1940 along this historic highway. Route 18 connects San Bernardino to the mountain resorts of Big Bear & Lake Arrowhead, & goes around the mountains to Victorville. back in the day, it followed what is now state route 91 all the way to the coast. The sign is 15 1/2 by 17 1/4 inches, & weighs 4 pounds 2 ounces. This is a high quality, heavy steel remake that has the same high gloss & is indistinguishable from the original 1930s porcelain sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
