Ca. 1910s: Nine antique sports award medallions that were part of a collection of salesman samples & left-over stock from the Phillip Goldberg Company, a Boston Massachusetts company that made custom trophies & awards from 1895-1934. These 100+ years-old medals would have been made manually using a Fly Press. This listing is for the exact nine (9) antique award medallions pictured in the photos, each one depicting a different sport. They include: Basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, running / track, shot put, skating, discus throw, swimming/diving. A one-of-a-kind gift for the athlete in your life or for the collector. Also ideal for jewelry makers & crafters. Measurements: Approx. 1.25" - 2". See photos for exact measurements. Condition: Very good unused antique condition as shown with some minor surface wear and/or patina typical of age. IMPORTANT NOTE: Some medals do not have fully pierced holes at the top. You will need to puncture it in order to fit in the hardware /O-ring, etc. through the space should you decide to use the medal in that way. You will receive the exact medals pictured.
