I believe the No.5 marked litho steel toys of Flash Gordon's Rocket Fighter are the 1st generation of the toy that came out in 1939, another followed in the 1950s & then a repop in 2004. This toy shows general play wear & some rust but considering it's over 80 years old it's in remarkable condition. The clockwork is in operating condition but there was originally a flint stone inside that threw sparks when it runs. Is marked King Features Syndicate who was the publisher of the original comic that was introduced in 1934. This retains its original rear stabilizer that was designed to be easily removed to replace the flint, they are often lost. in addition the original green cellophane at the rear exhaust is also present.
