Albert King's 1972 Dan Erlewine custom Lucy. Purchased in the late 1950s, the original Lucy named after Lucille Ball was a right-handed 1958 Gibson Flying V & was the guitar Albert used on most of his recordings for Stax Records. It was retired to make way for the second Lucy shown here. Built by luthier Dan Erlewine, this second Lucy is a left-handed V made from 125-year old black walnut. Delivered in May 1972, it has Albert's name inlaid on the fretboard & Lucy on the head. The illustration of this famous guitar is original & has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research. This is not a photograph.
