Welcome to our new range of wool - a Super Chunky British Wool, available in four natural shades & so beautiful to knit with. Our British Wool comes from two types of sheep - our Natural White is a Blue Faced Leicester yarn, & our three darker shades are Shetland. Each just as tactile, but the BFL has a slightly softer finish. BFL is a little bit more silky with a very slight sheen whereas Shetland is squishy & bouncy. Those descriptions are probably true for the sheep, too! The wool knits up beautifully giving a natural finish & is so soft to the touch. It also has a really gorgeous evocative smell which is super comforting to knit with & wear. We have made a pledge as part of Joe Lycett's Got Your Back campaign to support British farmers & stop the waste of this beautiful product. Each hank is 200g & 130m long. Available in BFL White, Shetland Grey, Shetland Moorit & Shetland Dark Brown. All of our British super chunky wool can be used with any of our current Super Chunky Patterns, although we are releasing a range purely devoted to this wool, starting with our Cosy Cable Cardi - it's just perfect to be knit with this wool.
