Made to Order - May take 3-6 weeks to complete. This large 9" x 3.5" hand thrown serving bowl has hand carved peaks along the outside that make a wonderful impression on the inside. The smooth & glossy Shale glaze shows off these peaks, highlighting the carving beautifully. We left the rim & foot of this serving bowl unglazed, the toasty color of the raw clay gives great contrast in color & texture. Hand thrown on the pottery wheel from a durable stoneware clay. This large serving bowl is perfect for serving so many dishes as well as doubling as mixing bowl. A family sized salad is a perfect fit in this gorgeous hand carved serving bowl. As potters our goal is to make functional pottery that people can have a personal relationship with. When you're serving your homemade food from a handmade serving bowl, it just adds to the experience. All of our stoneware pottery is fully functional for daily use, never contains lead, is food safe, as well as dishwasher & microwave safe.
