Wenge Turkish Spindle Hand Rubbed Finish Handmade & hand finished Turkish spindle. These are from Wenge tree. This wood is very hard & has a very dark finish some of which have light marbling in the grain & others that are almost all black. This wood is even darker than black walnut. This is a multiple item listing & the spindle has a weight of between 48and 55 grams, a 5" diameter whorl & is on a 5/16" 8 3/4 inch long hardwood shaft. As with all my items these have been tested by my wife who is an avid spinner & knitter. Whorl does not include roving. Any doubts check my feedback! These items are hand made from natural wood - wood has it's own grain & colorations. We hand sand each item with several different grits of sandpaper. Finally, each item receives hand applied finishes & then they are air dried on a non-stick surface, to bring out the beauty of the wood & designs.
