This process makes the collar soft around your dog's neck & because we want to avoid metal hardware from the rivets coming in contact with your dog's skin we have put them between the leather layers . Same thing applies for the stainless steel buckle , we have saddle stitched it so no metal is in contact with your dog's neck.
