This is a vintage Old Capitol Beer coaster from the early 1940s, unused & very retro. The beer was produced by Old Capitol Brewery in Chillicothe OH, home to Ohio's first capital. The brewery opened its doors in 1934 shortly after Prohibition's end & remained in operation until 1944. The coaster features an image of Ohio's first state house & comes in a 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 black frame with 1-color mat & attached sawtooth hanger for wall mounting. Makes a great anniversary or birthday gift. This is the consummate bar & man cave décor for the old school beer drinker and/or Ohio native! in 2020, Old Capitol was resurrected as Old Capitol Brewing in its original hometown of Chillicothe.
