This year buckeye nuts are bountiful & are quite large & beautiful. It is categorized into three (3) varieties. One is the large size (Half-Dollar coin size), Whole Seed, & the other is mixed (whole nuts + imperfect shape). Buckeye nut comes in different sizes & shapes. The imperfect shape nuts came in a bigger pod & inside it has either two or three nuts stuck together & therefore it has a flat side rather a whole round. The whole round on their hand has only just one nut in a pod itself. Sometimes the whole harvest might only consist about 10 to 15% of whole nuts. Buckeye nuts are very popular in Ohio. People use these nut as Lucky Charm or make it into awesome accessories NOT FOR CONSUMPTION During the Buckeye Football Season in Ohio, you see all Fans have one or two or more accessories make from buckeye nuts.
