I am very happy to discuss your specific requirements when it comes to fabric colour & decoration - that is the fun part! Pure silks also available. I have worked hard to reproduce that bonnet worn by Jane Austen in the only portrait that we know for certain is of her, painted by her sister Cassandra. I made a number of proto-types until finally I reached the closest possible representation. It is made from Wedgewood blue taffeta, trimmed with Berisford eco ribbon & lined with a cotton linen blend. Launched in celebration of her birthday this is my tribute to a woman who was radical for her time but who never received the recognition she deserved in her lifetime. She remains elusive even now & I love the fact that even this portrait has her face turned away. If you would like her in another colour I can match your existing outfit.
